Using the Internet for Global Awareness and Collaboration

The iEARN Folktales Project provides a valuable opportunity to the students from around the world to share the folktales from their culture, rewrite them or create new ones that represent the values and morals specific to their culture and countries and share them with the rest of the students from many different countries.  This is only one example of the many internationally collaborative projects at iEARN.

The center for Innovation in Engineering and Science Education also has a treasure trove of collaborative international projects that center around science. One example project involves students from around the world collecting local water samples, having them analyzed, and comparing data.  In this way students are not only learning about environmental conditions and differences around the world, but they are engaging in meaningful real-world research as well.  Anyone is welcome to join and our students will love the learning they'll be doing!
